The honeymoon is far from over!
Though it's been more than a month since Valerie Bertinelli tied the knot with Tom Vitale in Malibu, the 50-year-old Hot in Cleveland star says things are, well, hotter than ever.
"Tom and I like being able to walk around naked," the actress tells the March issue of Good Housekeeping. "You can't do that when the kids are in the house!"
(Bertinelli has a 19-year-old son, Wolfie, with her ex-husband Eddie Van Halen; Vitale has four children from a previous marriage.)
Still, the actress admits that both she and financial planner Vitale, 49, came into their relationship with a lot of baggage.
"Tom's ex-wife left him for another man, and I failed at my previous marriage — I did terrible things, as Ed did," she tells the mag. "We both have been through that kind of pain, and we're never going to do that or have that done to us again. I need to be beyond that as a human being and as a partner."
Given their histories, Bertinelli says they've both agreed that cheating is a marriage deal-breaker.
"My position is, if you ever think you're going to start looking outside, we need to talk," the Jenny Craig spokesperson explains. "Either it's going to be over right then, or we're going to work on it so you don't feel the need to look elsewhere."
Not that either one of them has to worry about infidelity. According to Bertinelli, Vitale has "unlocked some things in me that I usually like to keep buried. Things you don't like about yourself that you're sure someone else won't like either, but once they're out and in the open, they're not as scary. He unlocks a lot of stuff that I don't have to hold on to anymore."
