Whitney Cummings is healthy and more beautiful than ever! The comedienne, 33, attended the 11th annual Outfest Legacy Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 5, where she opened up about her recent weight gain and what it’s like to publicly talk about body image.

“It's terrifying,” she tells Us Weekly of her recent confession that she gained 25 pounds. “And makes me uncomfortable. And it's scary."

But for the former sitcom star, there really wasn't an alternative to addressing her physical transformation.

"But the other one was scary too, not talking about it," she continues. "And just feeling alienated from my body and like I had to look a certain way. I'm not trying to be, like, brave or make headlines. I'm just trying to tell the truth. And that's all I can do.”

Back in July, Cummings spoke candidly to Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today show about her changing figure.

"I did this weird thing that nobody likes to do anymore where I gained weight," she told the co-anchors at the time. "I gained, like, 25 pounds, which I think I needed to. I was way too skinny before. Here's the thing… when you're on television, you get confused. I looked like I was passing away, like I was so skinny [that] it's not attractive."
