One week after Us Weekly reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton were headed towards the altar, the happy couple announced their engagement at St. James’s Palace. “We are both very, very happy,” William told reporters.
Making their first post-engagement appearance, the lovebirds attended a holiday fundraiser in Fakenham, England. Dressed in Temperley London, Middleton looked radiant -- and with good reason. "Kate was given royal assistance like no other girl has ever been given before," a source told Us.
With a wedding on the way, the couple visited Westminster Abbey -- the site of their April 29 wedding -- for the first time together. They sat in the pew with William's father, Prince Charles, and watched a full orchestra and a 14-boy choir rehearse potential songs for the big day.
