Power couple in the making! Alicia Keys‘ son, Egypt Dean, is only 2 years old, but according to his very famous mom, he’s already set his sights on another superstar tot: Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s 13-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
Keys, 32 — who welcomed little Egypt with husband Swiss Beatz in October 2010 — revealed her son’s crush during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Feb. 18. But it seems not everyone is thrilled about the adorable love connection.
“I think Egypt kissed Blue…and I don’t think Jay liked it very much,” the “Girl on Fire” singer joked of Beyonce’s hip hop mogul husband. “He called my husband, and he was like, ‘Umm…watch your son.'”
Perhaps Egypt can win over the rapper with his knowledge of basketball? (Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, is part-owner of the new Brooklyn Nets.)
“He’s so adorable. I can’t even tell you how huge of a basketball fan he is. You can’t believe it,” Keys told Williams of her little boy. “Like, he knows the whole starting lineup, he can say their numbers, he can say their names, and at night, he has a special song for Melo [Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks] that he sings…It’s very cute.”
