Baby — and bump! — on the way! A pregnant Ashlee Simpson and her new husband Evan Ross stepped out on Friday, Dec. 19, the day after news broke that she is expecting a child.
Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, Dec. 18, that Simpson, 30, and Ross, 26, will be welcoming their first child together. The singer is already the mom to son Bronx, 6, with her first husband, Pete Wentz.
Simpson held the father-to-be’s hand on their Friday stroll in Van Nuys, Calif. With her bump not yet visible, she wore a navy peacoat with a fur collar over a printed T-shirt and skinny jeans with heeled booties. She shielded her eyes fom the sun with a pair of large black shades and carried a quilted chain-strap purse.
Sporting buzzed platinum blond hair, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 actor wore a sweater over a plaid shirt with jeans and a long coat.
Ross, who is the son of famed singer Diana Ross, exchanged vows with Simpson this past August. Motown legend Diana, 70, will become a grandmother for the third time with Simpson and Ross’ baby. Ross proposed to Jessica Simpson‘s little sister this past January.
Ross’ growing family was a hope for the star, as he told Us at the Mockingjay premiere in Los Angeles last month, “I would love to [have kids]… As many as possible.”
