Brantley Gilbert is officially a dad! The “My Kind of Crazy” singer and his wife, Amber Cochran, welcomed their first child together, Us Weekly can confirm.
“Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert was born on Saturday, November 11 at 1:37 p.m. after a fairly quick labor at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia,” a rep for Gilbert tells Us.
Barrett weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and measures 20 inches in length.
Gilbert, 32, shared the first photo of his newborn son on Monday, November 13, via Instagram.
“Still speechless….” the “Bottoms Up” crooner captioned the photo.
Us confirmed in July 2015 Gilbert married Cochran at his home in Georgia. He opened up about his relationship to E! News earlier that year.
“I met her 10 years ago. I met her in church, and long story short, we were on and off for five years, mostly on,” Gilbert said. “Losing her, it was a straight downhill jolt at first…She’s the one that got away for five years, and they always say if you love something you’ve got to let it go, and if it’s meant to be, it’ll come back. It’s so cliché, but now it happened to me. So I’m a believer.”
The country crooner was previously engaged to fellow country singer Jana Kramer. They split in August 2013.
The “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” singer shared a photo celebrating his one-year wedding anniversary with Cochran in June 2016 via Instagram.
“Now this is a badass anniversary present. My awesome wife gave me a Polaris ATV….” Gilbert wrote at the time.
