Sarah Hearon

Summary

When Deputy Editor Sarah Hearon is not at Us Weekly’s New York City office, she can be found in Hoboken, New Jersey, watching Bravo with a glass of rosé. In addition to watching every Real Housewives franchise, she passionately follows the cast of Vanderpump Rules, Southern Charm and The Bachelor/The Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise and of course, The Kardashians. On the rare occasion that she decides to watch something scripted, she catches up on Riverdale and Grey’s Anatomy, watches a Hallmark Christmas movie or puts on reruns of Gilmore Girls and Beverly Hills, 90210. (Tori Spelling was a large influence on her life.)

Work or writing background leading to expertise

After getting her start at Us Weekly as a digital staff writer in October 2017, Sarah was promoted to a senior staff writer in early 2019. She writes upwards of 40 news stories a week, while also working on longtime features — usually about RHOBH’s PuppyGate or the British royal family. (Prince George is her favorite.)

Sarah cohosts Us Weekly’s “Hot Hollywood” podcast, providing the millennial point of view on a series of topics — YouTube drama, anyone? Another career highlight includes being featured in the background of a May 2019 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City — dressed up on Halloween as Duchess Meghan in a wedding dress and tiara!

While she typically interviews Bravolebrities — Andy Cohen once said she wrote “great questions” — Sarah has spent the day with the cast of Teen Mom OG and once bonded with country singer Maren Morris backstage at one of her shows.

Education

She was a strategic communications major at The Ohio State University. While Sarah graduated in 2017, she’s a Buckeye for life!
