Leave it to Carrie Underwood to debut her baby bump at the Grand Ole Opry. The country crooner, who announced that she was expecting her second child with her husband and former pro Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher with an Instagram video on Wednesday, August 8, is showing off her growing belly.
The expectant mommy, 35, shared a picture of the outline of her growing stomach before taking the famed stage in Nashville on Friday, August 10. “Opry,” she wrote along with three heart emojis.
Days prior, the “Champion” singer told fans that she, her husband, 38, and their 3-year-old son, Isaiah, were excited to be expanding their family. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” she said in the clip, which also plugged her upcoming sixth album, Cry Pretty, and tour of the same name.
The family may continue to grow even after Underwood gives birth. “Carrie does still talk about adopting children because she truly does want a large family and wants to be a mom to several kids,” a source told Us Weekly.
The American Idol alum has also addressed the topic herself, telling Redbook in early August, “We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older. In the meantime, we’re lucky to be a part of organizations that help kids, because our focus right now in our lives is helping as many kids as possible.”
