Bring your (absolutely adorable) daughter to work day! During a pre-taped interview on Thursday, Jan. 9, pregnant Drew Barrymore brought along her 15-month-old daughter Olive to take a behind-the-scenes tour on the Ellen DeGeneres Show set.
“Just had an awesome time watching Ellen hang with Olive ! I love Ellen ! @theellenshow #dreamcometrue,” Barrymore, 38, wrote via Instagram. Alongside the caption, the star — who’s expecting a second little girl with husband Will Kopelman — shared a sweet picture of DeGeneres holding up her little tot.
DeGeneres, 55, also shared a snapshot. “While @DrewBarrymore was making pesto with me, her daughter Olive was directing the show backstage with my Executive Producer @EdGlavin,” this year’s Oscar host quipped. During the sweet mother-daughter outing, Olive wore a cute flower-print, long-sleeve shirt and jeans. The Blended actress matched her offspring in a blue and yellow flower-print dress.
The famous women clearly have a good time with each other. Just one day earlier, DeGeneres joked about Barrymore’s pregnancy during the 2014 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in L.A.
“Ellen DeGeneres told me I was fat!” the beauty mogul told the audience while presenting close friend Adam Sandler with the favorite Comedic Movie Actor award. “But I’m not, it was a joke. It was really funny.”
