Little Olive is in for a treat! Drew Barrymore's baby girl is turning 1 in two weeks, and her Hollywood actress mom knows just how the family will celebrate.
"We have a little party going on for her, a little first birthday that my sister-in-law is throwing," the 38-year-old actress told Us Weekly at the Estee Lauder "Modern Muse" Party in NYC on Thursday, Sept. 12. "I'm like Jill [Kopelman], take over!" she joked about her husband's sister helping out. Barrymore and her art consultant husband Will Kopelman, 36, welcomed baby Olive, on Sept. 26, 2012. Kopelman's screenwriter sister Jill (she goes by Jill Kargman) attended Manhattan private school Spence with Gwyneth Paltrow, and even set up the then-single Paltrow with her godbrother Chris Heinz, an heir to the Heinz ketchup fortune, in 2000.
The Big Miracle star also dished on what she loves the most about her bundle of joy. "She's a sweet person, which is all I care about," she said. "I am obsessed with nice. That's the most important thing."
The first-time mom looked stunning at the NYC event red carpet. Barrymore wore a white dress and shoes by Marc Jacobs, a black jacket by vintage Chanel and a golden purse for the night out, and even dabbled in her very own Flower Beauty Line for her makeup.
Barrymore is excited for the upcoming celebration with her in-laws and shares that her mother-in-law [Coco Kopelman] is her role model when it comes to raising Olive. "She's the best," she said. "My mother-in-law is actually my muse, just on how to be a person and a wife and a mother." Barrymore's father-in-law is former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman.
