And baby makes five! Elizabeth Smart and husband Matthew Gilmour welcomed their third child together, a baby girl named Olivia.
Smart announced the little girl’s arrival in an Instagram post published on Monday, November 19. In the snap, Olivia is seen wearing a red University of Utah Health cap.
The My Story author, 30, announced she was expecting in June on Instagram, with a photo of an ultrasound. She captioned it, “Pretty HUGE news!!!!!! We’re expecting baby #3 in November!!!!” Smart and Gilmour — who wed in Hawaii in 2012 — are also parents to Chloe, 3, and James, 19 months.
The child safety activist — who became a household name in 2002 after she was abducted from her family’s home in Salt Lake City at the age of 14 — works tirelessly to ensure that other children do not fall victim to sexual predators. In addition to sharing photos of missing children, she advised parents in August to speak with their children about sexual abuse and awareness.
“I know it’s a scary topic to bring up but as it’s the beginning of a new school year this really should be a priority,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “New classrooms, teachers, friends, schools, people, and places are a big part of this time of year and the best thing we can do is try to prepare and prevent sexual abuse from ever happening.”
