"It was my dream to be a mom, so I'm loving it," said Evan Rachel Wood at the Charlie Countryman screening on Nov. 13. "I love it."

Motherhood suits her well! Evan Rachel Wood gushed about her 4-month-old son and how she is "loving" life as a mom at a screening of her film Charlie Countryman in NYC on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

"I’ve been having separation anxiety because I’m so used to him being right here all the time," the 26-year-old star, pointing to her chest, told Us Weekly at the event hosted by Ploom vaporizers. "They kind of become a part of you, you know?" Wood, who welcomed her son with husband Jamie Bell via natural home birth in July, said she loves and embraces "everything, everything" about being a mom. "It was my dream to be a mom, so I'm loving it. I love it."

Showing off her post-baby figure in a Robert Rodriguez spring 2014 dress with Jimmy Choo shoes to the red carpet event, sponsored by Ploom, the Mildred Pierce actress told Us about her baby boy's cute milestones: "He's smiling and laughing. He started rolling over. He’s grabbing things. You know, he’s making oohs and aahs."

Wood, who stars in Charlie Countryman opposite Shia LaBeouf as the Romanian love interest of the leading man, said she wrapped up filming right before her pregnancy: "I was lucky because I had done three films and got pregnant so I was like, 'I’ve got stuff in the can. I’m taking a break!'"

Prior to her much-deserved break, Wood worked hard to nail her Romanian accent and learn how to play the cello for her role. "It was much harder than I thought it was going to be," the talent said of learning to play the string instrument. "Some things got lost in translation." To bring her character Gabi to life, Wood trained with a dialect coach for nearly three months. "Before I was even cast in the film, I had to show them the Romanian accent," she shared. "So I worked on it for a while."

The protective mother has yet to reveal her son's name, but hinted that the baby's had a role in naming himself! She jokingly said, "We asked him while he was in the womb if that’s what he wanted his name to be — to kick — and he did, so there you go!"

Following the premiere guests went to Maison O's Stardust Lounge where they discussed the movie and sipped on Stella beer and Svedka.
