Hayden Panettiere stepped out in public on Saturday, Nov. 28, for the first time since seeking treatment for post-partum depression.
The Nashville actress, 26, attended the IBF IBO WBO World Heavyweight World Championship Fight in Duesseldorf, Germany, to support fiance Wladimir Klitschko, who was defending his title against Tyson Fury. (Fury wound up the winner, ending Klitschko’s nine-year reign.)
As Us Weekly exclusively reported last month, Panettiere checked into a facility for postpartum depression, 10 months after the birth of the couple’s daughter, Kaya.
In a statement to Us at the time, the actress’ rep said, “Hayden Panetierre is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression.” The rep also confirmed that the star was taking a medical leave from her ABC show, Nashville.
Earlier this month, Nashville’s Riley Smith opened up to Us Weekly exclusively about Panetierre’s condition.
“I texted her, and she texted me right back and said, ‘I’m awesome,’” Smith told Us. “So hopefully she will be back on set soon.”
