Music to their ears! Backstreet Boy member Howie Dorough and wife Leigh become second-time parents with the birth of their son, Holden John Dorough, on Saturday, Feb. 16.
The happy parents were delighted to meet their bundle of joy, Dorough tells Us Weekly — even if he arrived a little bit ahead of schedule.
“My beautiful wife Leigh and I are so proud to welcome our son to the world,” the 39-year-old singer said. “Holden surprised us by arriving three days ahead of schedule at 6:37 a.m., at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and 20 inches long.”
Dorough and Leigh are already parents to another little boy, James Hoke, 3 1/2, and the “I Want It That Way” singer said he’s excited about their growing brood.
“Leigh is such an incredible woman and mother, and our son [James Hoke] is so excited to have a baby brother,” he said. “I feel so lucky to have such an amazing family.”
The singer excitedly announced Leigh’s second pregnancy via Twitter last August, just a few days before his 39th birthday.
“Thanks to family, friends and fans for all the amazing birthday wishes,” he wrote at the time. “This year I’m receiving the best gift from my wife: another baby boy!”
‘What else could I ask for?” Dorough tweeted two days later after son James Hoke sang him “Happy Birthday.” “These precious moments are what life is all worth living for.
