An early Christmas gift! Hugh Grant has reportedly welcomed his fourth child. The British actor’s newborn arrived on Wednesday, December 16.
The Daily Mail reports that Grant, 55, and Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein had a baby girl. The pair are already parents of son John, 3. He arrived in September 2012, but his birth wasn’t revealed until January 2014.
Eberstein’s mom, Susanne, confirmed the news to a Swedish newspaper. “I can confirm that I have another grandchild,” she said. “It is wonderful.”
Grant’s daughter also joins big half sister Tabitha, 4, and half brother Felix, 2, whom he shares with Chinese actress Tinglan Hong.
As previously reported, Eberstein, 37, was pregnant with John when Hong, 36, was pregnant with baby boy Felix.
Back in February, the Love Actually star opened up about fatherhood while attending a screening of The Rewrite in NYC. “It’s made me much nicer,” he told Us Weekly at the time. “One of my kids is very obsessed with saying goodbye — he’s only 2 — to everyone, including the man who delivers the groceries, whoever he might be. He has to have a hug and a kiss, and I find that very charming.”
Grant also noted that he’s not extremely romantic, but he does get sappy from time to time. “I’m not without a heart and particularly now, in my old age, I cry a lot,” he joked. “Almost everything makes me cry now…. Anyone who’s nice to me makes me cry.”
