Dawson's going to need a bigger canoe! James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly have welcomed their third child. The Dawson's Creek alum announced the happy news via Twitter on Sunday, Jan. 26.
"Outnumbered by kids, outnumbered by girls, outlandishly grateful and thrilled," Van Der Beek, 36, wrote. "Watch out world, VDB baby #3 made her debut last night." The pair has yet to announce the baby's name.
The actor's wife first revealed No. 3 was on the way last August. "James and I are happy to report that we are expecting our third child this winter!" Kimberly gushed on her personal blog. "Nesting mode is starting to kick in. I've been getting rid of clutter, reconfiguring rooms, reorganizing EVERYTHING, etc…My mind doesn't stop."
The expectant mom couldn't help but gush about her expanding family, but did decide to keep one detail private — the baby's gender! "We have no idea. The doctor doesn't even know. It's a surprise!" she explained to Us Weekly at the Club MomMe Fall fest in L.A. on Nov. 3.
She added: "I'm the person who could have had three boys or three girls and not care. Also I was always into keeping the surprise, but at the end of the day I had a hard time. I think I have more will power this time!"
Married since 2010, the couple is already parents to daughter Olivia, 2, and son Joshua, 22 months.
