With kid No. 4 on the way, Jason Aldean needs a new set of wheels for when he tours. “We’re having a bus built now. It’s got two cribs,” the country singer told Us Weekly and other reporters at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas. “It’s a lot different now than it was the early part of my career.”
The 41-year-old musician and his wife, Brittany Kerr, are parents of 9-month-old son Memphis and are expecting a baby girl. He is also dad of daughters Keeley, 15, and Kendyl, 11, from his previous marriage to Jessica Ussery.
“I’m about to have two under the age of a year and a half, so it’s exciting,” Aldean revealed, noting that he thrives in chaos. “The house now is definitely different, but it’s cool and it keeps [me] busy.”
The star isn’t too worried about having back-to-back babies. In fact, he sees it as a plus. “We’re excited to have them close together in age,” Aldean explained. “I think it’s going to be fun and hopefully they’ll grow up really close and have a built-in best friend. That’s kind of what we’re hoping for.”
Aldean and the former American Idol contestant, 30, announced in July on Instagram that they are having their second child together. In the photo, Memphis posed in a Big Brother onesie. Kerr captioned the snap, “Here we go again! 👶🏻💙💞.”
Kerr opened up in April about her struggle to conceive Memphis. “The IVF was probably harder than the actual pregnancy, for me, because it was such a roller coaster and so difficult,” she shared on the “Babes and Babies” podcast. “It’s such high highs and low lows, and no one really knows that you’re going through it all so you have to just put on a game face and pretend that you’re not giving yourself shots in your stomach every day, all day.”
Us Weekly broke the news in March 2015 that Aldean and Kerr tied the knot in Mexico.
