Finding cause to celebrate! It’s been a tough time for the Duggar family, but on Saturday, June 6, Jill Duggar took time to share a happy milestone via Instagram.
“Happy 2 month birthday #IsraelDavidDillard! We are so blessed to be your parents! May you grow up to love Jesus and serve others! #2monthbirthday @derickdillard,” she captioned a precious photo of her baby son wearing a T-shirt that read “2 Months.”
Duggar, 24, and her husband Derick Dillard welcomed their son in April, but in the time since then, the Duggar family has been making headlines for a more serious reason.
When it came to light that Josh Duggar had molested five young girls when he was 14 years old, his parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar sat down with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly to talk about the scandal. Jill and her younger sister Jessa Duggar also spoke to the reporter as two of Josh’s victims.
“We didn’t choose to come out and tell our story,” Jill said during the interview as Jessa, 22, nodded in agreement. “But now that this story has been brought about, we really feel like—as we’ve been seeing these headlines—we feel like, as victims, we have to come out and speak. This is something that we chose to do. Nobody asked us to do this. Most of the stuff out there is lies. It’s not true. And so for truth’s sake we want to set the record straight.”
