Bachelor Nation is about to get a little bigger! Jillian Harris announced in a Thursday, April 19, Instagram post that she and her fiancé, Justin Pasutto, are expecting baby No. 2.
“I’m due the first week of October!” Harris tells Us Weekly exclusively. “All I did was was complain for two and a half months. I felt like such a Debbie downer. I was just so tired. But I feel better now.”
“We’re so excited! Especially now that it’s out in the open and I can talk about it to everyone,” Harris continued. “I grew up as an only child so I can’t wait to see the chaos that our house of four will be. I can’t wait to see the family family dynamic that we build.”
In the adorable Instagram reveal, the couple’s 20-month-old son Leo — clad in a “Big Bro” T-shirt — throws his arms up in the air. The family dog Nacho Cilantro, meanwhile, appears indifferent about the soon-to-be new addition!
The season 5 Bachelorette, who lives in Vancouver, had a rocky first trimester — the mere smell of wine made her gag. “The last 3 months have been . . . interesting . . . obviously exciting but SO sick and exhaustion I never knew was possible,” wrote Harris, 38, adding that the first twelve weeks of pregnancy “beat the crap” out of her. But her pro snowboarder love could not have been more accommodating.
“Thank you @justinpascutto for being SO patient with me,” continued the Love It or List It Vancouver star. “No more freshly cooked meals, 8pm bedtimes for mama, a messy house, piled up laundry, crabby and unshaven legs . . . lol I’ve been a MESS but feeling so much better these days.”
Harris revealed in a lengthy post on her self-titled blog that her doctor knows the sex of the baby. “We can’t wait to find out if we’re going to be having another boy or a little girl . . . actually, we have the results in a sealed envelope just sitting on our counter,” she shared. The pair are just deciding how and when they want to open it up!
Harris just wants a healthy child, but she can’t help but stare longingly at baby barrettes and sparkly shoes. “I see the amazing bond Justin has with brother,” she tells Us. “And I love having all boys in the house with Justin, Leo and Nacho. But at the same time, there’s no denying that I’d love a little girl. Every girl dreams of having a baby daughter to dress in cute clothes and put little pink bows in their hair.”
