Newborns can be tricky when it comes to sleep. Rather than just dozing off in their cute little bassinet, they need to be held, rocked and bounced. And that’s why parents everywhere nodded their heads in solidarity when Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines shared an Instagram Story of herself and 19-day-old son Crew strolling through her family’s garden.
In the clip posted on Wednesday, July 11, Gaines, 40, is seen walking around the grounds of her Waco, Texas, farmhouse with Crew snoozing in her arms. The baby is wrapped in a green blanket and has a 100 percent BPA-free BIBS pacifier in his mouth. (The rubber soothers from Denmark also come in cool colors including blush, dark oak and rust.)
Gaines captioned her video, “Walking with my boy in the garden.”
The Magnolia Table cookbook author and her husband, Chip Gaines, welcomed their fifth child on June 23. They are also parents of Emmie Kay, 8, Duke, 9, Ella, 11, and Drake, 13.
Crew’s older siblings can’t get enough of him. Earlier this month, the former HGTV star shared pictures of her older kids taking turns snuggling the newest member of the family in a hammock.
Joanna and Chip, who wrapped their 5 season Fixer Upper run in April, announced Crew’s arrival via Twitter. “And then there were 5,” Chip tweeted at the time. “The Gaines crew is now 1 and stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief.”
The couple celebrated their 15-year anniversary in May.
