Joanna Gaines (née Stevens) is the former host of HGTV’s Fixer Upper, which she starred on alongside her husband, Chip Gaines, from 2013 to 2018. The HGTV personality was born in Kansas, raised in Texas and attended Baylor University. She and Chip wed in 2003 and started their own show a decade later based off of their similar construction and design interests. The pair decided to end their show “at the height of its popularity” after 5 seasons because they wanted to be there for their kids “during really crucial, pivotal points in [their] journey.”
Joanna and Chip started growing their family in 2003 when their son Drake arrived, followed by Ella, Duke, Emmie and Crew. In October 2019, her husband told Willie Geist that he was open to having baby No. 6 with his wife.
Not only is Joanna the author of four books, but she and her husband own decor company Magnolia Homes, discount store Magnolia Market, restaurant Magnolia Table and coffee shop Magnolia Press.
