John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are spending more time apart these days. But it’s not because there are cracks in their marriage. With a toddler and a newborn at home, the couple is realizing it’s best to divide and conquer.
“When Chrissy’s breast-feeding, I’m out playing with Luna in the yard,” Legend told Us Weekly and other reporters at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond gala at Dodgers Stadium on Monday, June 11. “The idea of splitting up is a little different than what we had before. But it’s good to have two of us there to handle the two of them.”
The R&B singer, 39, and the 32-year-old Lip Sync Battle cohost are parents of daughter Luna, 2, and 3-week-old son Miles. At the moment, Legend can’t tell if Miles resembles him or Teigen. “He’s so tiny,” Legend shared. “If you look at Luna’s pictures, when she was a couple weeks old she looks a lot different now than she looked then. So we’ll give him time to grow into his face.”
Legend, who performed at the Monday night event, was joined by his wife of four years. He revealed that being parents has brought them closer together. “It made us more of a team, even more so than we were before,” gushed the Grammy-winning artist. “ When you have a joint project like this, raising kids together, I think for us, it’s brought us closer together.”
Though Miles isn’t a month old yet, Legend predicts he and Teigen will continue to expand their “little brood.”
Asked by Us Weekly if he and the model are done having kids, Legend replied: “I don’t think so! We’ll probably have more.”
