So sweet! John Legend explained on the red carpet at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards why he and wife Chrissy Teigen named their newborn son Miles Theodore.
“We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens, and every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it,” the “All of Me” singer, 39, told E! News host Jason Kennedy outside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20.

“So Miles, of course, is the same name as the great Miles Davis,” he continued. “And Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together and got Miles Theodore Stephens. When he came out and we hung out for him for a little, we were like, ‘He looks like a Miles.’”
Teigen, 32, announced via Twitter on Wednesday, May 16, that she gave birth to her second child with Legend. Their firstborn, Luna, turned 2 the previous month.
“We’re so excited to have him in the family now,” the Grammy winner gushed on Sunday. “Chrissy’s excited, Luna’s excited, I’m excited. It’s nice to have a little family of four now.”
After Legend’s interview, Teigen took to Twitter to poke fun at her husband of four years. “wow didn’t u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting,” she quipped alongside a photo of herself and Miles watching the red carpet coverage.
