The cutest farewell of them all! Kelly Clarkson couldn't be there in person to say her goodbyes to American Idol on Thursday, April 7, but she gave fans the next best thing.
The season one winner (who stayed home due to the impending birth of her second baby) provided not one but two awesome video performances to make sure the show, which made her a superstar, got the unforgettable send off she thought it deserved.
During the show, Clarkson, 33, wowed in a pretaped appearance, where she performed a medley of her most famous hits, and left the entire audience in tears with an stunning a cappella version of her famous Idol victory song "A Moment Like This."
But it was her daughter, River Rose, 21 months, whose video performance which Clarkson shared via Twitter after the finale aired, that really got her fans feeling emotional.
"Congrats @TrentWHarmon :)," Idol's first ever winner wrote in a caption to the insanely cute video. "@laporsharenae can't wait 4 ur album too! River wanted 2 say bye #AmericanIdol #IdolFinale."

The adorable little tot looked at the camera and said, "Bye!" over and over, while doing her best to wave her hand, and then collapsing in giggles.
As fans responded, saying how cute she was, Clarkson had to agree.
"She is my favorite thing on the planet! She's hilarious and cracks herself up which is the best part ha!"
