Kendra Wilkinson gets rave reviews from her children. And that’s the only thing that matters. The mom of 8-year-old Hank IV and daughter, Alijah, 4, shared an Instagram message on Sunday, June 10, directed at followers who have been criticizing the way she parents.
“Anyone who says anything negative about me as a parent are only going against what my kids see in me,” began Wilkinson, 32. “I don’t get the hate at all. We can sit here n judge all day but what good is that doing?”
The Kendra on Top star revealed that Hank IV and Alijah would be “devastated” if they knew what people were saying about her. “We are all doing the best we can,” noted Wilkinson. “It’s a shame that our kids have to grown up in a world of such harsh criticism.”
This isn’t the first time The Girls Next Door alum has vented about mom-shaming. In April, Wilkinson defended her right to unwind. “I bust my ass off as a human being. I work, pay bills, take care of 2 kids and love them to the fullest,” she wrote on Instagram. She then urged people not to judge her by the “pictures and clips of shows” they see on the internet.
“I make my sacrifices so my kids can have a life they deserve,” Wilkinson said. “I drink to celebrate only and I enjoy my friends.”
Wilkinson shares Hank IV and Alijah with ex-husband Hank Baskett, from whom she separated in April after nearly nine years of marriage. Though the WE tv personality claimed on June 6 in since-deleted tweets that Baskett, 35, was “blaming” her for “cheating” on her while she was pregnant in 2015, just three days earlier they were cordial at a birthday party. Richard Harlow, who planned the bash, told Us Weekly at the time, that the former couple were “great co-parents” and that there was “no indiction of any kind of friction or trouble brewing.”
