Kim Kardashian has a theory as to why she and her 8-month-old daughter, Chicago, have nearly identical faces.
“I think I was so nervous to have a surrogate and to have that connection that God was like, ‘I’m going to make her look just like you,’” Kardashian revealed on the Tuesday, October 2, episode of Ashley Graham’s podcast “Pretty Big Deal.”
The 37-year-old KKW beauty founder and her husband, Kanye West, are also parents of North, 5, and Saint, 2. With Chicago, the couple chose to use a surrogate after doctors advised that carrying a third child could come with potentially life-threatening risks.
Kardashian raved that Chicago “looks like, honestly, my twin mixed with Saint. It’s the two of us in her.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s star has called using a gestational carrier “the best decision” she ever made.
“It’s a game changer, having to not go through [nursing] every few hours,” she explained during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan in May. “I can spend so much more time with the older kids and getting them used to the baby.”
Maria Menounos, who is pursuing surrogacy to start a family with her husband, Keven Undergaro, has been leaning on Kardashian. “Miss Kim K. Has connected me with all her people,” the TV personality, 40, told Us Weekly in September. “We’re going to Greece this fall and we’re going to do another [wedding] ceremony. Once we get back, we’ll do it.”
