Surprise! When Kristen Bell opened her eyes on Wednesday, July 18, she was greeted with a heavenly-looking egg sandwich — and a makeover courtesy of her husband, Dax Shepard, and their daughters Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 3.
“Today I woke up to breakfast in bed, immediately was given a side pony, and handed this beautiful birthday note,” wrote the 38-year-old on Instagram. She then referenced her hit NBC comedy, “THIS is the good place!”
Bell shared a picture of the note that was written by Lincoln — and while it is surely packed with sweet sentiments, the only thing that is legible is the little girl’s signature!
Shepard, 43, also posted a sweet Instagram tribute to his wife. The couple began dating in 2007 and tied the knot at a Beverly Hills courthouse in 2013. “Happy birthday to my number one #roaddog @kristenanniebell. I have witnessed nearly 1/3 of your life, and what an example it has been :)” he gushed.
Later, the Bad Moms actress chowed down on birthday tacos with The Good Place costars William Jackson Harper and D’Arcy Carden.
Bell revealed in a follow-up Instagram video that she celebrated turning 38 by donating $4,457 help an immigrant mother reunite with her child. “What I really wanted for my birthday this year was a peaceful feeling,” she said. “Swipe left to see what I bought myself.”
The star contributed to a GoFundMe campaign started by Immigration Families Together. The organization is working to reunite families who were separated at the border.
