Kylie Kelce is opening up about how her and Jason Kelce‘s four daughters are affected by their family’s “fame.”
“First of all, yuck,” Kylie, 34, said on the Thursday, June 4, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast while answering questions from fans.
Kylie went on to add that her children — Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 14 months — have a sense of humor about the situation.
“They think it’s funny that when we go out in public, people say, ‘Are you Jason Kelce?'” she continued. “And then we go back to the house and they say, ‘Are you Jason Kelce?’ Sometimes we catch them playing a game amongst themselves where they are not involving adults where they will start to go, ‘Oh, my gosh. I’m such a huge fan. Can we take a picture?'”
Jason, 38, played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons from 2011 to 2023, while his brother, Travis Kelce, also plays in the NFL as tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kylie, for her part, has built up a massive following on social media with her successful podcast, which debuted in 2024.
Despite her family’s claim to fame, Kylie admitted she has a different perspective as a parent. “I don’t like that our kids have picked up on this,” she explained. “Obviously, they’re gonna pick up on it when they leave the house with their dad. It makes me sad that this is their reality.”
Kylie continued, “I want them to have as normal of an upbringing as possible. But we just make it a point to try and create a degree of separation as best we can.”
While her daughters usually “think it’s hilarious” that their family has become recognizable, Kylie revealed that her eldest has shown some discomfort with the attention.
“Every so often, Wyatt will not like that someone is either talking about approaching us or staring at us,” she said. “She recently stared at a group of young women who were speaking loudly across the street from us and she stared at them with a really nasty look on her face and said, ‘They are not taking a picture with my dad.'”
Kylie emphasized, “I think most of the time, they think it’s funny and entertaining, and sometimes they do not. And I think that we should collectively leave them out of it. OK? Great, let’s do that.”
While Kylie and Jason became beloved local figures during his 13-year NFL career, the pair experienced a new level of notoriety when Travis, 36, began dating Taylor Swift in 2023. The couple got engaged last year — but Kylie isn’t interested in spilling about the wedding.
“Before I get into the questions I will answer, I just wanna say to literally everybody — I know it usually comes from a good place, not always — but quit asking me and my mother-in-law about upcoming nuptials,” she said on her podcast in April. “Nobody’s f***ing telling you anything! … Even if I did have any information, I’m not f***ing telling you. That’s private information, if I had it. Private information between family. So A and B, C your way out.”
