It’s a girl for Mama June Shannon’s daughter, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon! Shannon and fiancé Joshua Efird welcomed her first baby on Friday, December 8, at 5:01 AM ET, Us Weekly confirms. She named her Ella Grace Efird.
“Today at 5:01am me and josh officially became parents to a precious 7lb 14oz baby girl,” she tweeted with a photo. “Everyone meet Ella Grace Efird.”

The 17-year-old reality star opened up last August about being apprehensive about delivering the baby. “I’m really nervous about having a baby ’cause, I mean, it does have to come out of my hoo-ha,” she said in a video for fans. “My baby daddy’s head is, like, the size of a freakin’ watermelon, so imagine trying to push a watermelon out of your vagina.”
When the pair initially announced their pregnancy over the summer, she admitted then she thought it would be a girl. “Can you imagine another little f–king me running around? You guys are going to be f–ked,” she said in the video.
Ella Grace is the third grandchild for Mama June, in addition to Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell‘s children, Kaitlyn, 5, and Kylee, who turns 2 on December 9. “I think Mama will be an all right grandma,” Pumpkin said of June. “I mean, she can’t really see, but she’ll do good.”
“I don’t think you guys are ready for another me, I really don’t,” Pumpkin told her family in a season 2 sneak peak of A&E’s Mama June: From Not to Hot. “The only things that I fear about raising a girl is that, you know, she’s going to want to date. She’s at least going to have to be 45 before she goes on her first date.”
Mama June: From Not to Hot returns to WE tv January 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
