June Shannon

June Shannon appeared on the TLC series Toddlers & Tiaras from 2012 to 2013 with her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who was 5 when the show began. The network gave the family their own spinoff show titled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which featured Shannon’s older daughters: Anna, Jessica and Lauryn. The series aired from 2012 until its cancellation in 2014 due to Shannon’s relationship with convicted sex offender Mark Anthony McDaniel.

Shannon and her family returned to television on WE tv on Mama June: From Not to Hot in 2017, which chronicled Shannon’s weight loss journey. The show was later rebranded to Mama June: Road to Redemption in 2021 then to Mama June: Family Crisis in 2023.

Shannon shares Anna with ex-boyfriend David Dunn and welcomed daughters Jessica and Lauryn with Michael Anthony Ford. Shannon shares Alana with ex-boyfriend Mike Thomspon, from whom she split in 2014.

Shannon moved on with Eugene “Geno” Doak, with whom she was arrested in 2019 for felony drug possession in Alabama. The two attended rehab before splitting in 2021. Shannon secretly married convicted felon Justin Stroud in 2022. They held a beach wedding in Florida in 2023 with both families present.
