June “Mama June” Shannon’s daughter Jessica Shannon has moved on following her divorce from ex Shyann McCant.
“When one little Facebook message turns into something I wouldn’t change for the world. ❤️🥰,” Jessica, 29, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, September 17, alongside a photo of her new girlfriend. “Sometimes the best things in life start completely unexpectedly. So thankful that message led me to you. ❤️✨.”
The Mama June: Family Crisis star previously teased her new romance in August by sharing a photo of her hand on a woman’s thigh.
“All my ambitions walked out the second you said, ‘What’s up?’ ❤️,” she captioned the post. “I don’t know what it is about you, but somehow you make everything else feel a little less chaotic. 🥹❤️.”
Jessica’s relationship comes in the wake of her split from McCant, 23, in June after more than one year of marriage. (The exes tied the knot in February 2025 and later filmed a second wedding for the Shannon family’s reality show that October. The footage aired during the season 8 finale in May.)
“As most of y’all can tell, me and Shyann are no longer together,” Jessica wrote via Facebook at the time. “We mutually decided that it was the best decision for both of us.”
Shortly after the pair’s breakup, Mama June, 47, claimed via social media that McCant had cheated on Jessica. McCant admitted to being unfaithful, writing in her own post that she “wasn’t happy” in her marriage.
“That doesn’t make what I did right, and I take full responsibility for my actions,” she wrote.

Us confirmed in July that Jessica had filed for divorce from McCant, alleging in court documents that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The split was finalized on August 27.
“As this chapter of my life comes to an end, I can honestly say I have lived, I have learned, and I have grown,” Jessica wrote via Instagram at the time alongside a photo of her divorce paperwork. “I’m not going to say it was the worst time of my life, because it wasn’t. There were definitely things I could have changed and done differently, but in the end, I know that if I had never lived through it, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.”
The reality star continued, “Through this chapter, I met so many amazing people and built relationships I wouldn’t trade for anything. Most importantly, I would have never met my sweet Harpie. ❤️” (Harper is McCant’s niece, whom she has raised as her own.)
“That little girl has shown me how to live, laugh, love, and how someone so little can make the biggest impact on your life,” Jessica wrote. “No matter what chapter we’re in, I will always be her best friend and be there for her until the very end. ❤️.”
She concluded, “Always remember, doors will close throughout your life, but that just means new ones are waiting to open. Walk through them with your head held high, live life to the fullest, and never forget your worth. ❤️.”
