Mama June Shannon entered the chat to call out Shyann McCant for cheating on her daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon.
“Well since I’m always to b the blame for every relationships not working out and since it was shared publicly and yall have been wanting to see who Shyann cheated with and left Jessica for here you go McKenzie is in the middle of them in the red shirt,” June, 46 wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, July 21, alongside a group photo that featured Jessica, 29, and Shyann, 23, amongst others. “Yall are welcome so everyone can stop digging now #reality #cheater #mamajune #divorce #SpillTheTea.”
Shyann subsequently addressed June’s post and confessed that she was not happy in her and Jessica’s marriage.
“I’m not going to make excuses for what I have done. What hasn’t been shared is that I had been asking Jessie for a divorce for months because I wasn’t happy,” Shyann wrote via Facebook on Tuesday. “I expressed how I felt repeatedly, including that issues involving her mother were a big reason I wanted out. Nothing changed, and despite asking for a divorce more than once, it wasn’t happening. That doesn’t make what I did right, and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
Shyann also included a post of her and her new girlfriend, Mackenzie. In a follow-up Facebook post, Shyann admitted that she “cheated” on Jessica and took “full responsibility” for her actions.
“Yes, me and Mackenzie were together before. And yes, while we weren’t together and I was with Jessie, Mackenzie had children with her wife at the time,” she wrote. “We all have history. The past is the past. Bringing up old situations and attacking someone who doesn’t deserve it isn’t helping anybody. If you’ve got something to say, say it to me — not to her.”
Hours later, Jessica addressed Shyann’s new relationship with Mackenzie.
“I knew Shyann and Mackenzie are together. Do I care? Honestly, no. Was the way everything happened crazy? Sure. Was I hurt at first? Absolutely. But that’s in the past,” she wrote via Facebook on Tuesday. “At the end of the day, all I want is for everyone to be happy.”
Jessica and Shyann started dating in 2022 and they got legally married in February 2025. Several months later, the pair later filmed a second wedding for Mama June: Family Crisis, which aired during the season 8 finale back in May. Last month, Jessica announced that she and Shyann split.
“As most of y’all can tell, me and Shyann are no longer together. We mutually decided that it was the best decision for both of us,” she wrote via Facebook in June. “Yes, we are still friends, and yes, we are both cordial with each other, but we are no longer in a relationship. We kindly ask that everyone be respectful during this time. Please don’t send hate or negativity to either of us. This is already a difficult situation, and mean comments or unnecessary drama won’t make it any easier.”
