Nick Cannon’s philosophy: Old-fashioned parenting beats any electronic gadget.
“It’s so easy just to put the iPad on,” the dad of twins Moroccan and Monroe told Us Weekly at the launch of RadioShack’s NCredible line in NYC on February 23. “But you’ve got to keep the kids engaged, with you and with each other.”
Luckily, the America’s Got Talent host doesn’t have to fight his active 4-year-olds to put down their devices. “They’re both super musical,” brags Cannon. “It’s amazing to watch them sing, dance and play piano.”
They’ve also inherited their father’s love of martial arts.
“Right now, they’re in tae kwon do,” says the comedian, 35. “My daughter is so athletic. She’s tough! Moroccan is good too, but she’s exceptional.”
The star, who split from his kids’ mom, Mariah Carey, in January 2015, remains friendly with his ex. In fact, Cannon and the singer enjoyed a family day on February 21.

“Co-parenting, and all that stuff; it’s love,” Cannon told Extra on February 23. “It’s beautiful.”
Carey, 45, is just as committed to keeping the peace.
“I think we are trying our best. I really do,” the Grammy winner recently revealed. “I know I am trying my best and I think he is too. I know [Moroccan and Monroe] love being with him and it’s nice and I will always say positive things about him to the kids.”
While Carey has moved on with billionaire fiancé James Packer, Cannon is taking a break from the dating scene. But when asked by Extra what would happen if Cannon met the woman of his dreams, he replied: “I had her! I was married to her!”
