Model Tess Holliday isn’t working out three days a week because she wants to look good in a bikini. The 25-weeks-pregnant stunner already loves how she looks.
“I stay active for me, & only me,” the size-22 beauty wrote alongside a post-workout Instagram on March 1. “It’s not about proving anything or trying to lose weight, it’s about what makes ME happy!”
The stunner continued: “We ALL deserve to be treated with dignity regardless of our size, gender, race, sexual orientation, abilities, etc., When people criticize or belittle us it says more about them than us, remember that.”
On March 4, Holliday told Us Weekly the message was directed at Australian fitness blogger Ashy Bines, who called her a bad role model for young women.
“She basically said I was doing an injustice to my [unborn] child by being fat and pregnant and unhealthy,” the model revealed to Us.
Now she's surrounding herself with a strong support network, including trainer Elvon Mack (a.k.a. MackFit) in North Hollywood. “He’s the first trainer that doesn’t make me feel bad about my body,” she raved. “He doesn’t shame me, he doesn’t tell me how important it is to lose weight.”
A typical hour-long session involves 15 minutes of cardio followed by plies, lunges and light weights. “I feel stronger, I feel better,” says Holliday. “I’ll do stuff on my own too. I counted the other day and I walked like seven and a half miles when I was at Disneyland!”
Holliday is expecting her first child (she isn't revealing the sex!) with Nick Holliday in July. She is already mom to son Rylee, 10, from a previous relationship.
