Oh, baby! Alanis Morissette, who is pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway, took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 28, to show off her growing baby bump in a stunning nude underwater shot.
“you have to be extra gentle around ladies because they are the most helpful people in the world ’cause they make persons,” the “Ironic” singer, 42, captioned the photo, quoting her precocious 5-year-old son, Ever Imre.
In the gorgeous pic, a smiling — and completely naked — Morissette floats in a pool as she covers her chest with her hands and bares her burgeoning belly.
Earlier this year, the iconic ’90s rocker let fans know that she and Treadway, 36, would be expanding their brood. On February 12, she shared an adorable baby announcement video featuring a track she recorded in 2010.
“Written, recorded and produced in 6 hours on may 22, 2010 with guy sigsworth, on the sly, to surprise Souleye,” the Canadian-born musician wrote of the animated video, which was created before her son Ever’s birth in 2010. “Brendan Huza helped tell our story in moving pictures, bringing us up to this sweet moment. may this song take on ever-deepening meaning as each year goes by 🙂 xoxo.”
Morissette updates the video each year with her family’s milestones. At the end of the February 2016 edition of the clip, she added a scene in which a cartoon version of the Grammy winner gets a sonogram as her rapper hubby and their son stand by her side.
In October 2015, Morissette, who wed Treadway in 2010, opened up to Us Weekly about raising their little boy.
“He’s 4. He’s amazing,” she gushed to Us of Ever. “He’s just coming into his own. We’re having real bona fide philosophical conversations. About anything — about aliens, about the galaxy, about what God is, about animals. You just cross your fingers behind your back and you hope you don’t blow it.”
