Cardi B has hit the pregnancy sweet spot. “She’s not having sickness or issues right now,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the 25-year-old will welcome her first child in July.
The Invasion of Privacy rapper, 25, is expecting a baby with her hip hop artist fiancé, Offset. She announced the news during a Saturday Night Live performance last month by revealing her bump in a skintight white dress.
While the mom-to-be waits for her home to be built in Atlanta, she has been working on brand deals at her Edgewater, New Jersey, condo. “She’s been taking a ton of meetings with designers for her Fashion Nova Line,” the insider tells Us. “She’s stopped doing shows, but she isn’t letting the pregnancy slow her down.”
The ultra-confident artist has been feeling a little self-conscious, however. “She is loving eating for two,” the source tells Us. “But she doesn’t love the way she looks in her performance outfits anymore.”
Cardi B announced in April that she was canceling several shows to focus on her pregnancy. “Shorty keeps growing and I be looking like I be moving and everything,” she said in a video message. “But in reality, a bitch barely can breathe.”
She vowed to return to the stage in September, when she will open for Bruno Mars on the next leg of his 24K Magic world tour.
As far as wedding plans go, “no official time of year is set,” says the source. Offset proposed with an 8-carat ring at a Philadelphia concert in 2017.
