Princess Madeleine of Sweden is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Christopher O'Neill

Let the royal baby fever begin anew! Hot on the heels of the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William's son, Prince George, comes news that Sweden's Princess Madeleine is pregnant. The Scandinavian royal and her husband will welcome a little bundle of joy in March 2014, the royal court revealed on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

"Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O'Neill are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their first child," a statement on the Palace's official website read. "No changes to the schedule of The Princess's engagements and work for Childhood are planned during the fall of 2013."

Madeleine, 31, married New York banker O'Neill earlier this summer in a lavish wedding at the Royal Palace Church in Stockholm on June 8. The youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, she is fourth in line to the Swedish throne.

Once engaged to lawyer Jonas Bergstrom, Madeleine met O'Neill through mutual pals. He proposed in October 2012.

"I have been sure all along that Madeleine was the one I wanted to marry," he said in an interview about their engagement, noting that he "felt something special" with his future wife right "from the very outset."

"I appreciate Chris for his warmth and his humor," the princess gushed at the time. "He has a very big heart and he manages to make everyone in his presence feel good. Christopher is a very thoughtful and generous person."
