Nicole Curtis tried to snap a selfie in a swimsuit — but it became a group shot when the Rehab Addict star’s son Harper and her dog Lucy wandered into the frame.
“I don’t know if any other pic could sup up the degree of chaos better than this:),” the DIY Network and HGTV personality began in an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 8. “My phone has been ringing (like people actually calling me) since about 6 a.m.”
The 41-year-old added that she is working on a “couple of job sites” and had just discovered Lucy on top of the stove with her paws in a takeout container. “And in the middle of it all, I found this one piece swimsuit that I forgot I bought (3 years ago in Spain,”) and I thought ‘Why not get this over with???’ wrote Curtis.
The Better Than New author shimmied into the suit and got her photo. Now the piece is back in her closet. “This will never be seen again as it’s a lot of work to get into let alone out of,” Curtis shared. “Just a post from me reminding you that no one’s life is a perfect as their social media portrays — if only :).”
Curtis’ fans appreciated her honesty. “The whole scenario . . . #reallife,” wrote one person in the comments. Added another: “You are so real and it is quite refreshing!”
Curtis and Harper’s father, Shane Maguire, are currently embroiled in a dispute over custody. She is also mom of Ethan, 20, with ex Steven Cimini.
