Fatherhood gets a "yes" from daddy Cowell! Simon Cowell is enjoying being a first-time dad to his 2-month-old son Eric, according to the TV personality's ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour, who spoke with Us Weekly Tuesday, April 22.
"He's great actually,” Seymour told Us of Cowell at the 8th Annual Britweek Launch Party in Hancock Park, London. "I mean he hasn't changed his lifestyle because—Simon wouldn't," the Extra correspondent, who still remains close friends with Cowell, added of the busy Britain's Got Talent judge. "But he's very good. He'd never even held a baby before, so he was like, 'How do you hold a baby?' You have to remind him every now and then about the head… But he's really good and he loves it."
Cowell, 54, has adjusted well from a lifestyle as single ladies' man to devoted baby-wielding dad. Back in February, immediately after his son's birth, the Brit shared a beautiful black-and-white image of himself, rocking the little one against his chest. "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel," Cowell tweeted alongside the pic. It turns out the proud papa's close pals are pretty surprised, too!
"Everybody was like, 'Oh my God, this is going to be so strange,'" Seymour recalled of the sometimes-acerbic British TV personality; But "It's all been very natural," she continued.
"I think [baby Eric] is just so easy," the British journalist said of the "gorgeous" little one. "I met him obviously a few times before. He's amazing, he's the most well-behaved baby…. considering he's Simon's!" she joked. "He never cries," Seymour said of Lauren Silverman's child. "I literally heard him cry once… and [he] sleeps from like, seven in the evening to seven in the morning."
When baby Eric isn't snoozing, he's learning life skills from his dad! "Simon taught him how to stick his tongue out at two months," Seymour shared with Us. "It's hysterical—Simon sticks his tongue out and Eric copies, he's so cute!"
"He's such a happy baby. He wakes up, has his food, and goes straight back to sleep," she gushed. "He's like the dream baby. He's amazing."
