Oh, baby! Southern Charm New Orleans star Reagan Charleston became a first-time mom on Wednesday, June 12, when her daughter arrived.
Charleston, 31, announced the baby’s arrival on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself and husband Reece Thomas with their firstborn. “She’s here, and she is perfect Reece Ellis Thomas, 6/12/19 12:19pm, 7 lbs 5 oz Life will never be the same,” she captioned the delivery room photo.
Just one day before she gave birth, the mom-to-be was at the hospital for a different emergency — Thomas was hospitalized with appendicitis. “Less than 24 hours before I give birth — DID NOT think this guy would be in a hospital bed!! Perfect timing for a case of Appendicitis!!! NBD 🤣 God has a sense of humor,” she captioned the photo on Tuesday, June 11, adding that while her husband would be in the hospital for a week, “they are going to wheel him up for the delivery.”
The new mom shared a photo of the trio on Sunday, June 16, as they celebrated Father’s Day at the hospital. “Just two invalids & their precious baby!” she captioned the pic. “Not how I thought we’d spend your first Father’s Day We are grateful for you!! Reece is still waiting for his inflammation to go down so he can his surgery, but trooped to come take care of me & little girl today. I was enjoying what had been an easy delivery & recovery and was KNOCKED OUT by postpartum pre-eclampsia. We have had the hardest, but best week ever. It’s smooth sailing from here, Dad!! Love you both so much.”
The reality star, 31, announced that she was pregnant in May 2019 and showed off her baby bump in a mirror selfie. In the social media upload, Charleston’s white tank was pulled up to reveal her budding belly.
“Oh, hey baby!” the jewelry designer wrote at the time. “I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin. I had no idea I would love the bump this much… I can’t wait to meet our little girl, but I’m going to miss this belly! #freethebelly #36weeks.”
She was previously married to Jeff Charleston. The former couple opened up about their split in Entertainment Tonight’s exclusive clip of the show’s season 2 premiere.
“How do I even begin to explain how things have changed in my life?” Reagan said. “Jeff and I were married for six years. We were young and we fell in love.”
Her then-husband, 36, added: “As time went on, the bad times kept getting worse. … Our marriage had met its expiration.”
Reagan even celebrated a negative pregnancy test, which upset the former NFL player. “Five months after the pregnancy test, we separated,” she said. “Almost a year later, the divorce is all but final. Jeff wanted a family, but there was no way I was going to bring a child into the world in that constant upheaval.”
Reagan and Thomas dated more than a decade ago and reconnected after the Bravo personality’s split.
