Riley Cardoza

When Parenting Editor Riley Cardoza is not at Us Weekly’s New York City office, she can be found in Brooklyn Heights reading all the fiction she can get her hands on — or stuck on the subway doing the same thing. In addition to using her library card, Riley loves watching anything based on books, from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones to Big Little Lies and Gone Girl. When she isn’t annoying her husband by loudly explaining to the TV why the book is always better than the movie, Riley enjoys eating every kind of dessert there is and boring everyone she meets with way too much information about the royal baby, the Kardashian clan and more.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

As Us Weekly’s parenting editor, Riley has a mean spreadsheet of celebrity pregnancies and writes upwards of 50 stories a week about famous families, while also working on gift guides and features — usually about the next generation of Duggars and Kar-Jenners. (Reign Disick is her favorite).

Riley writes the Hollywood Moms spread in Us Weekly’s magazine, keeping readers up to-date on stars’ parenting secrets. While she typically types away at her desk, Riley has also interviewed some super celeb moms like Giuliana Rancic and Vanessa Lachey.

She is a New York University alum, graduating in 2018 with majors in journalism and psychology.

Work history

After covering all things YouTubers and YA books at, Riley took an editorial assistant position at HollywoodLife and shortly was promoted to the site’s celebrity baby editor. She joined Us Weekly in January 2019.
