As a busy mom of four, Tori Spelling sure could use more hours in the day. To make the most of her time, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum tells Us Weekly she engages in multitasking workouts that allow her to stay fit — and bond with her family. "We all need to get out our aggression," Spelling jokes of her brood's weekly sweat sessions at Bas Rutten's Elite MMA Gym in Westlake Village, Calif.
Forced to go on bed rest after developing terrifying complications while pregnant with youngest Finn, Spelling — who is also mom to Liam, 6, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 18 months with husband Dean McDermott — relishes the time she now has with her children, vowing to stay active any way she can. "I was never an outdoors girl, but I spent so much time in bed the past year, I have a new appreciation for nature," admits the Little Maven designer and founder of the site ediTORIal, who lost 30 pregnancy pounds — plus another 15 — before debuting her bikini body in Us in April.
Hitting the MMA Gym with her brood is therapeutic for all involved, says Spelling, 39. "The kids take classes, the babies play on the mat and Dean and I do an adult training session," says the star, who steps into the boxing ring with her husband of seven years. One perk for the kids? "[They] love to see me pound at Dean," laughs Spelling, who also loves to go on 2-3 mile hikes with her children. "My gloves are pink, of course!"
Fueling her body with foods like fish or steak and vegetables cooked by McDermott — whom she's dubbed "Gourmet Dad" — Spelling can't help but marvel at how far she's come in the past year. "I am in awe [of my body]," she tells Us. "I think, Wow, I made four human beings. I feel like I can do anything at this point. I praise my body every day, I am so grateful for it."
