No picky eaters here! Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are the proud parents of two children with adult-like palates. “Our kids have become little foodies,” the mom of Charlotte, 8, and Rocky, 5, says in the new issue of Us Weekly. Gellar shares the contents of Charlotte’s Pottery Barn Kids Star Wars lunch box.
Just Roll with It
“Charlotte loves sushi so much, she learned how to roll it herself. She likes chicken, avocado and rice with teriyaki sauce.”
Snack Attack
“I was on a school trip and all the kids were unwrapping these overprocessed chocolate-coated bars and throwing the wrapping away. It’s such a waste. I add in granola bars I make with Foodstirs. They’re so easy and I know what’s in them.”
Love, Mom
“I think the little touches are what matter. I love to add in notes and things to remind them that I love them when I’m not there, and to have their lunch stand out.”
Piece of (Pan)cake
“We do a lot of breakfast for snacks. So, I’ll make mini pancake muffins. Some parents are shocked, but it’s what they ask for!”
This September, Mollen is ready to outdo the other moms at school lunches. “Food for me equals love,” the mom to Sid, 4, and Lazlo, 10 months (with husband Jason Biggs), says. The actress shares her experiments with Us.
A Work of Art
“I like a bento box because you are able to present the whole picture. It’s not something like an apple or banana in a brown paper bag.”
Hopping in for Food
“I’m really obsessed with Japanese bento art. I will try and make onigiri rice balls with bunny faces.”
If All Fails, Try Again
“Sometimes the lunch gets sent back to me just the way I sent it. But that’s OK. It’s about exposing them. He wasn’t into peppers all year and now he eats every color.”

Anthony keeps it classic in 11-year-old son Kiyan’s Fortnite lunch bag. “Like so many other kids,” the mom (with estranged husband Carmelo Anthony) tells Us, “he’s very into the [video] game.” Inside, is his all-time favorite: a turkey and cheese sandwich on whole-grain bread. “That’s the go-to,” she notes of her son. The 39-year-old Power actress shares his other midday choices.
Clean Machine
“Kiyan likes fruit. I send him with an apple, peach or plum, and I wash the fruit using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. I wipe off the surface with it so it’s clean when I put it in his lunch box.”
Mama’s Big Boy
“He’s getting a little old for love notes now, so I’ll only do it on a special occasion. I use a lined sheet of paper and write, ‘Have a great concert!’ or ‘Good luck on the field!’”
Juicy Goods
“He also loves apple juice, so I’ll throw Mott’s in there and then a bottle of Poland Spring water.”
Nosh Time
“Another staple is Cool Ranch Doritos. I have a ton of those that I put in there.”
“Eat Your Veggies!”
“I try to put hints of food in his lunch box that he doesn’t really like, like celery and carrot sticks in a plastic bag.”
