Jenny Mollen

Jenny Mollen is an actress, author and media personality best known for her role as Nina Ash on Angel. Mollen was born in Phoenix, Arizona, where she developed an early interest in theater. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles’ School of Theater, Film and Television with a bachelor’s degree in theater and later briefly spent time studying psychology in graduate school.

Mollen began her career with television and film roles in the early 2000s on shows like Strong Medicine before landing her breakthrough role as Nina Ash, a recurring character on The WB’s Angel. She went on to appear in series including Crash, Viva Laughlin, CSI: NY and Girls. On the big screen, she has acted in films including Life Happens (2011), The 4:30 Movie (2024) and Influenced.

Mollen later ventured into writing, authoring New York Times bestsellers including I Like You Just the Way I Am (2014) and Live Fast Die Hot (2016). She has also written for publications including Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Parents. Several of her essays and social media posts have generated widespread attention, helping establish her as a recognizable voice in the parenting and lifestyle space.

Mollen met actor Jason Biggs while filming My Best Friend’s Girl in 2007. The pair married in 2008 and share two sons: Sid Biggs (born in 2014) and Lazlo Biggs (born in 2017). After nearly 18 years of marriage, Mollen and Biggs announced their separation in 2026.
