Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen’s love story has taken a plot twist.
A rep for the couple confirmed to Us Weekly on Thursday, May 14, that Biggs, 48, and Mollen, 46, have separated after 18 years of marriage.
“They are on great terms,” the statement read, “and remain focused on raising their two boys.”
The couple — who share Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8 — first met on the set of My Best Friend’s Girl in 2007 before eloping in a private ceremony the following year.
While the split may have come as a surprise to many fans, both Biggs and Mollen have been candid about the highs and lows of their marriage in interviews and on social media.
As the couple navigate the next chapter of their relationship, Us is breaking down some clues that may have been a sign that their marriage wasn’t meant to be forever:
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs’ Marriage Counseling

During their marriage, Mollen and Biggs never hid from the fact that they participated in couples therapy. At one point, the pair argued that every couple should give it a try regardless of how strong their relationship is.
“We have been getting along at the end of the day because we have a therapist,” Mollen told People in 2016. “You need to have a representative convey your thoughts for you sometimes. If it comes out of my mouth, sometimes it just sounds like I’m Jason’s mom.”
Biggs added, “You shouldn’t be married and not have a therapist. You’ve got to do it as a preemptive strike.”
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs’ Instagram Posts
In March, Mollen and Biggs shared a joint Instagram post in support of an ongoing social media trend.
“I was trying to jump on this #90strend but I think I accidentally made @biggsjason an ‘In Memorandum’… #dadwhatwereyoulikeinthe90s,” Mollen wrote at the time, while sharing throwback photos of her husband’s movie roles.
In recent months, however, the pair didn’t appear to post many pictures on their main feed together.
In May 2025, Biggs took the time to share a funny post in honor of Mollen’s birthday.
“This is a pic of us at your surprise thirtieth. We were married and yet I still knew practically nothing about you,” he wrote. “Like for example, the fact that you hate surprises. Luckily, we made it past that hurdle. Happy 47th, I promise I planned nothing.”
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs’ Experience Working Together

Over the years, Mollen and Biggs had the opportunity to collaborate on projects, such as acting in the 2016 comedy Amateur Night and cohosting the 2024 reboot of the cooking show Dinner and a Movie.
“It’s always tricky working with your spouse because he’s going to say things to me that he would never say to another actress or cohost, [he] just couldn’t get away with it,” Mollen exclusively told Us in November 2024.
Mollen continued, “‘Show me your boobs.’ ‘Suck my d***.’ I’m just kidding. But you can say to your wife, ‘No, Jenny, don’t do it that way,’ and it can be helpful. … It is more casual, which can be amazing, but it can also lead to a lot of couples’ therapy sessions.”
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs on Parenting
During a 2018 interview with Today, Mollen said the toughest part of parenting is “not getting mad at each other.”
“Our kids will do something to set us off and instead of hating them, because they’re obviously perfect in our eyes, we hate each other,” she explained. “No matter how perfect you’re thinking you’re doing it, you’re going to upset them and there are things you’re doing that will hurt them in some way.”
In a 2022 interview with People, however, Mollen praised Biggs for being a “hands-on” dad and a “great partner to have.”
