On Breaking Bad, he plays tortured, small-time drug dealer-turned-big-stakes crystal meth maker Jesse Pinkman. But in real life? Aaron Paul is definitely a winner — twice!
Paul, 33, won his second Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Emmy at Sunday's 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards for his role on the dark, critically acclaimed AMC drama.
And Paul (clad in Prada) was overwhelmed with the victory at the podium — blinking away tears as he thanked his costar and fellow nominee Giancarlo Esposito and show creator Vince Gilligan ("thank you so much for not killing me off!").
"I can't believe it," Paul exclaimed. "I'm from Idaho . . . Thank you Hollywood for allowing me to be a part of your group!"
He saved his final thank-you to "my beautiful, most inspiring fiancee Lauren." Paul's stunning bride-to-be, Lauren Parsekian, looked on adoringly form the audience. "You truly saved me."
Paul and Parsekian, the 24-year-old co-CEO of Finding Kind Productions, announced their engagement in January; Paul popped the question in Paris over New Year's.
He recently opened up to Us Weekly about his wedding plans. "I want a 1920s-themed wedding, Parisian carnival," he shared. "That's what we're going to do."
And though he's definitely going to be a hands-on groom ("I buy wedding magazines!") he has one main priority: "I'm going to try not to be a sobbing mess up there," he confessed.
