Addison Rae’s father, Monty Lopez, has been arrested for allegedly possessing a large amount of marijuana.
Us Weekly confirmed via the Lafayette Police Department online records that Lopez, 50, was booked on Tuesday, April 28, for a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
In his mugshot, Lopez wore an orange shirt as he stared at the camera. TMZ was the first to report the news.
Days earlier, TMZ reported that authorities were called to Lopez’s home on Thursday, April 23. A representative for the Lafayette Police Department told the outlet that officers went to the home after receiving a mental health complaint. TMZ reported that the incident turned into a criminal investigation, which may have led to Lopez’s arrest.

This is not the first time the singer’s father has had a run-in with a law. In February, Us Weekly obtained police records that Lopez was arrested for obscenity. The alleged incident occurred on August 31, 2024, at a Walgreens in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Nearly one year later, Lopez was arrested in July 2025 and accused of “exposing his genitals, pubic hair, in a public place or place open to public view, or in any prison or jail, with the intent of arousing sexual desire or which appealed to the prurient interest or was patently offensive” by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Lopez was charged with felony obscenity and a sex crime, with his bond listed as $2,500. He pleaded not guilty.
Lopez shares Rae, Enzo and Lucas with ex-wife Sheri Easterling. He’s also dad to daughter Macye Neumeyer, whom he welcomed during a previous relationship. Lopez and Easterling tied the knot in 2004 before divorcing years later. They reconciled and remarried in 2014, ultimately calling it quits for good in 2022.
Rae, for her part, has been open about her complicated relationship with her dad.
“From about 3 to 6 for me … Dad wasn’t really in my life very much. I’m sure that was personal decisions on your part with Dad,” the “Fame Is A Gun” singer said in a July 2020 installment of “That Was Fun?” with her mother. “You guys, I’m sure, kind of established that, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna need some space. We need to have our time to figure things out.’”
Lopez has since moved on with Kaitlyn Nicole Robins, whom he wed in Las Vegas in October 2025.
