Alyssa Milano broke down crying on CBS’ The Talk while discussing her former Who’s the Boss? costar Danny Pintauro’s HIV revelation on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Milano wept, tears running down her face, as she discussed Pintauro’s very personal revelation from the Sept. 26 episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?, in which he admitted he has been HIV-positive for 12 years.
“I hate that it took him so long to feel comfortable, but I’m so glad that he is able to express himself now, and I guarantee you he will change so many lives,” the Mistresses actress, 42, said. “He is a beacon of light, and he will be. I’m proud.”
Co-host Aisha Tyler echoed Milano’s support, drawing applause from the audience. “I was crying when I was watching him on Saturday, also because I feel like it is such a brave move for him,” she said.
Pintauro, 39, also received support from his Who’s the Boss? on-screen mother Judith Light, 66, telling Good Day New York on Monday, Sept. 28, that she was “so proud of him.”
“He is being incredibly proactive,” the TV matriarch said. “He’s giving a different face to what is still a disease that has not been handled.”
