On April 19, 2005, Us Weekly exclusively published a pic of the pair vacationing together at a villa on Diani Beach, Kenya with Jolie's son Maddox, then 3.
"Maddox would hang out with Brad and followed him wherever he went," a witness on Diani Beach told Us at the time. "It was clear that Brad and Maddox have a close relationship — they were joking around together. When Brad would talk to him, his face would light up and he'd giggle."
The trio were spotted playing on the sandy beach together, during the family's three-day getaway far from Hollywood. Though they costarred in 2004's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Pitt and Jolie, who were 41 and 29 at the time this photo was taken, denied any romance for months after the actor left his then-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Even after the image surfaced, the actors' reps denied a relationship, but a source told Us, "They wrapped their arms around each other [at the pool] and shared a long, passionate kiss."
Ten years, six kids, and one wedding day later, Brangelina is now one of Hollywood's biggest power couples. The pair secretly married in August 2014 in France after a multi-year engagement. Their children were all present and played crucial roles in the ceremony, including decorating Jolie's veil with their artwork.
"Maintaining a marriage and raising kids is hard work," Jolie, now 39, told The Australian Women's Weekly in December 2014. "[Pitt, now 51, and I] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected."
Now, more than 10 years since they lit up the screen together, the couple is preparing to, once again, costar in a movie, this time directed by Jolie. They will play married couple Vanessa and Roland in the film By the Sea, which will premiere later this year.
