Guess the Jolie-Pitts are coming out of hibernation! Angelina Jolie and fiance Brad Pitt and their six kids have been unusually scarce over the past several months. But Jolie, 37, made her second L.A. appearance this week — stepping out casually clad with son Pax, 8, and daughter Zahara, 7, on Tuesday (Feb. 13).
Wearing all black, with her hair pulled back into a ponytail, and wearing sunglasses and ballet flats, Jolie escorted Pax (rocking skater-inspired style) and Zahara (in leopard-print leggings and high-top lace up Chuck Taylors!) as they shopped for affordable hipster duds at a local Urban Outfitters.
Jolie flew solo on Sunday, making a surprise, low-key red carpet appearance at the 27th Annual American Society of Cinematographers Awards. Looking skinnier than ever in a grey, belted Atelier Versace dress, the star presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Dean Semler, her director of photography on her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey.
What keeps the Oscar-winning, globe-trotting Jolie "grounded?" "The great thing about having a bunch of kids is they just remind you that you're the person who takes them to go poop," Jolie recently told Total Film magazine. "That's who you are!"
She and Pitt, 49, are "friends," she added. "We have a laugh with our kids."
